Ride for Guy 9th September 2018

Ride for Guy – Sunday 9th September 2018.

Guy Gooding was our friend, fellow rider and one of the Gorillas. His sudden and unexpected death last year due to Sepsis was a devastating blow to his family and friends. His wife Wendy is organising a charity bike ride to raise awareness of The UK Sepsis Trust and support them in their research and development. This is the second annual Ride for Guy, the 2017 event raised over £6,000.

Sunday 9th September, The George Inn, Oundle 10am start.
A 10 mile course is set, which is the same as the 2017 loop….ride as few or as many laps as you wish before beer, bubbles and food at 12.00. Please contact justine@thegorillafirm.com with the numbers in your party so we can be prepared.

There will be 2 Everesting attempts on Southwick Hill
– 1 x North Face 283 Times
– 1 x South Face 264 Times
There is also a 300 mile 24 Heures de Guy Challenge with Mick taking on 30 laps of the 10 mile Ride for Guy Loop. There will be numerous Gorillas doing a 100 mile challenge with 10 laps of the 10 mile loop as well as many runners and walkers turning out to take a lap or more. We also have Nick ‘StarTrek’ who will be doing a 24 Heures de Guy Walking Challenge – Go Gorillas!! 💛

We know that Guy would be very proud and humbled by all these efforts in his name, big or small.
